In an official statement from Tyson 2.0, the renowned boxing champion's company disclosed its partnership with Carma HoldCo and Hudson Cannabis to introduce cannabis products to Tyson's hometown.
Expressing his excitement, Tyson shared, "As a native New Yorker myself, I’m thrilled to bring Tyson 2.0 to my hometown. Bringing my brand to New York is a big full-circle moment. I grew up here, overcame lots of obstacles in my life here, and now I am back to make a positive impact."
The collaboration signifies a significant milestone for Tyson 2.0 as the company strives to establish itself in the cannabis industry by offering high-quality and innovative products, including flower, vapes, edibles, and more.
Tyson expressed his enthusiasm for the venture, stating, "The brand is an extension of me, and it’s really a great feeling because it’s given me a new way to connect with people who are passionate about the plant like I am. I can’t wait to continue building Tyson 2.0, learning more, and meeting new people."
Acknowledging the existing stigma surrounding cannabis, Tyson emphasized his personal experience with its positive impact on his mental and physical well-being. He hopes that his presence in the community will contribute to changing the conversation around cannabis regulations and decriminalization.
Tyson is confident that the partnership with Hudson Cannabis, a leading cultivator in New York known for its commitment to responsible practices, will make a positive impact on the industry.
Hudson Cannabis CEO Melany Dobson expressed her honor in welcoming Tyson to their family of New York brands, highlighting the shared commitment to excellence and the spirit of New Yorkers.
In the spring of 2023, Tyson expanded his cannabis products into the European market with the opening of the brand’s first brick-and-mortar location in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Now, with the upcoming exclusive launch event in New York on Dec. 8, Tyson anticipates not only reaching a new audience but also becoming a significant part of the cannabis conversation in one of the world's most important cities.
Tyson concluded, "Being able to establish a strong presence here means tapping into a dynamic and influential customer base, and Hudson Cannabis is the perfect partner to help."
