🚀 “AMD Rallies After Lisa Su Projects Explosive AI and Data Center Growth” 🚨🚨🚨
Shares of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD $251.01, +5.68%) jumped more than 5% in early trading Wednesday after CEO Dr. Lisa Su delivered a bullish long-term outlook during the company’s Financial Analyst Day presentation.
Su told investors that AMD expects compound annual revenue growth above 35% across the company over the next three to five years, with its data center and AI business projected to expand by more than 60% annually during the same period.
That kind of pace would represent one of the fastest growth trajectories in the semiconductor industry—if achieved. While Su cautioned that longer-term forecasts always carry uncertainty, her comments reinforced Wall Street’s optimism that AMD could be a major winner in the ongoing AI boom.
For perspective, analysts currently estimate AMD’s data center revenues could reach $51.1 billion by 2028. But applying Su’s 60% growth rate to AMD’s current forecast of $16.26 billion in 2024 data center sales would suggest potential AI revenues near $66.6 billion by 2028—a number that would dramatically reshape the company’s financial profile.
The strong guidance underscores AMD’s confidence in its MI300 AI accelerator chips, which have been gaining traction among major cloud providers and enterprise customers.
