T.D. Jakes Joins Miami's Largest Black-Owned Real Estate Developer To Build Affordable Housing

Bishop T.D. Jakes is actively involved in real estate through T.D. Jakes Real Estate Ventures, which recently partnered with Miami's largest Black-owned real estate developer, New Urban Development. Together, they aim to address the housing crisis in South Florida by constructing two affordable housing projects in Hallandale Beach, FL, and Miami Gardens, FL.

Managed by Marcus Dawson, T.D. Jakes Real Estate Ventures seeks alliances to tackle critical issues like affordable housing, aligning with New Urban Development's commitment to community transformation. The Hallandale Beach project will consist of a 200-unit multifamily, mixed-income development, while the Miami Gardens project will offer 150 units for senior citizens.

Both parties emphasize a holistic approach to community revitalization, incorporating education programs and financial literacy. The Hallandale development is set to begin in early 2024, marking a significant step toward providing affordable housing solutions and fostering community development.
